Un cappello a tesa larga rigida, color rosa antico, e sei subito lady… Oltre a quello che vi mostro oggi, esistono diversi modelli di cappello a tesa larga. Tra i più famosi il classico Borsalino, in feltro soffice e a tesa di media larghezza, e il cappello a tesa rigida bombata, indossato da Audrey Hepburn in Colazione da Tiffany. Di recente sta avendo un grande successo anche il cappello a tesa larga morbida, come quello color panna di Hats&Dreams che mi avete visto indossare in questo outfit dedicato alla Milano Fashion Week.

A wide-brimmed hat, in mauve, and you turn into a lady … Besides the one I’m rocking today, there are different models of wide-brimmed hat. Among the most famous I recall the classic Borsalino, in soft felt and tense of medium width, and the stiff-brimmed rounded hat worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The soft wide-brimmed hat has become very popular too, like the one from Hats&Dreams that you have seen me wearing in this outfit dedicated to Milano Fashion Week. The wide-brimmed hat has been a symbol of refinement and femininity since the Forties, when Hollywood stars donned it as original and elegant accessory par excellence. How to wear it? The wide-brimmed hat cannot be rocked on any occasion, but it can become the perfect addition to a glamorous and trendy outfit. For a chic& fun look, mix it with bright colors, tight sheath dresses, long dresses and coats, leather bags, shiny shoes, boots, fancy fabrics. For a casual&comfy look, choose masculine silhouettes, jeans and T-shirt, pants with pleats and silk blouse, patent shoes, vintage accessories. If you like in the next few days I might post some virtual outfits, what do you think? In my OOTD I chose to wear my wide-brimmed hat, made in Italy by Hats&Dreams, as a”flagship” accessory of a stylish ladylike outfit. It’s not an everyday look, but suitable for a ceremony or an afternoon party. Midi skirt, blouse with ruffles, Marsala faux fur stole, nude patent pumps and vintage clutch with cocco finish take me back to a time when femininity was flaunted dressing up with sensual sophistication.
