Buongiorno bamboline, avete già letto ogni possibile articolo sul Red Carpet fashion, ossia i migliori e i peggiori look da red carpet? Io sì! E non potevo esimermi dal dire la mia, nonostante esista una fonte ben più autorevole sull’argomento: il sito Red Carpet Fashion Awards. I miei Oscar per i migliori look da red carpet vanno a… Meryl Streep ed Emma Stone! La divina Meryl Streep indossava una giacca da Smoking Lanvin, sopra ad una lunga gonna nera e ad una candida blusa in chiffon. Non il tipico look da red carpet, ma di un’eleganza senza tempo. Emma Stone sfoggiava un abito color lime di Elie Saab Couture, che si sposava alla perfezione con il suo caschetto lungo rosso fuoco, raccolto a lato. D’altra parte, mi ha profondamente delusa Cate Blanchett, che ho sempre ammirato per i suoi impeccabili look da red carpet. Non so se è stato l’abito Maison Margiela Couture sfrangiato sulle spalle, o lo statement-necklace turchese di Tiffany che stonava sul nero dell’abito a collo alto, ma proprio non ho compreso la scelta di questa algida bellezza dall’eleganza innata. Anche se Lady Gaga è una rockstar, e – si sa- ama stupire con i suoi outfit fuori dal coro, trovo che abbia sfoggiato il peggior look da red carpet. Il suo abito Alaia, esageratamente voluminoso, non le valorizzava la silhouette, mentre le maniche lasciavano intravedere troppo.

Good morning babes, have you already read every possible article about Red Carpet fashion, i.e. Oscars night worst and best dressed? Well, I did! And I couldn’t refrain from expressing my opinion, although a far more competent source has fully covered the topic: I’m talking of the website Red Carpet Fashion Awards. My Oscars for best dressed of the night go to…. Meryl Streep and Emma Stone! Divine Meryl Streep donned a Lanvin tuxedo jacket over a black long skirt and a white chiffon blouse. Not the typical red carpet look, but top-notch elegance to my eyes. Emma Stone rocked a lime-coloured Elie Saab Couture gown, which complemented beautifully her red side-parted long bob. On the other hand, I was thouroughly disappointed by Cate Blanchett, who used to leave me breathless with impeccable red carpet looks. Blame it on the sleeveless Maison Margiela Couture dress with fringed hems, or on the turquoise statement-necklace by Tiffany & Co. which stood out on the black high-neck dress, but I honestly didn’t get the styling choice made by this outstanding beauty endowed with innate elegance. Although Lady Gaga is a rockstar and – it’s renowned – loves surprising with her out-of-the-ordinary looks, I think she managed to sport the worst outfit of the night. An oversized Alaia dress didn’t complement here silhouette, with wide sleeves which showed too much.

Io personalmente ho adorato JLo e Lupita…il vestito di Emma Stone è straordinario ma secondo me sarebbe stato meglio ad una con una carnagione lievemente più scura, la sbatteva un pochino!

Emma Stone and Jennifer Lopez were my best dressed. I like Meryl Streep’s outfit too but Lady Gaga was definitely the worst dressed. I guess she did it on purpose and Cate’s dress was a bit boring this time. Happy Tuesday sweetie 😀

I loved Emma Stone’s look. The dress was the perfect match for her hair color and skin tone. I expect Cate Blanchett to always dress in a more fashion-forward gown so I was disappointed in this look but she still looked so regal. I like Lady Gaga’s look except for the gloves. I thought she should have worn longer and more fitted gloves. I always enjoy your post.
